Return to Work Counselling.

 

Employees can be absent from work for long periods for many reasons, not least mental or physical illness.  Returning to work can often be a fraught and stressful time for the employee.  Managers are aware that it is important to manage this time successfully.

I offer a counselling and liaison service designed to:

1. Support the employee through the process of returning to work, and

2. Liaise with key staff, such as the employee’s line manager, to ensure a smooth transition from absence, to full time working.

Employing a person outside the organisation often works well, not least because the employee feels that they have a person who is ‘on their side’.  I am then in a good position to advocate on the clients behalf.  This is especially valuable if they client is feeling vulnerable.
